I fell in love with baking even before I realised that I was in love with baking. The whiff of freshly baked cakes from my aunt's oven was what drove the passion. And over time, I read books about baking and watched a gazillion TV shows and I knew that I had to do something in this space. I bought my first oven in my late 20s. It was a small oven in which I tried making the occasional cookies and pies. Within a few years, I bought a bigger oven and started baking cakes, cupcakes muffins, and cookies, and even participated in some exhibitions. I did some orders for friends and family as well. Over the course of time, I also added chocolates to my repertoire. There have been bumps along the way but Pi Bakes has continued to exude its warmth and is all set for many more sweet and savoury adventures.
